Still confused about whether chambray is a subcategory of denim? The answer is no, but that doesn’t make them any less enticing as a spring fabric. Blue chambray shirts make fantastic capsule wardrobe pieces, as they combine the down-to-earth quality of denim with the comfort and familiarity of a lived-in shirt.

I have an unusual affinity for warm tones leaning towards orange. They are delightful with a raw burst of energy – everything I wish I could be in the damp spring weather.

Synonymous with seafarers, the iconic Breton shirt originated from Northern France and has since become firmly embedded in capsule wardrobes. Finding the right kind of stripe takes time, however, but I’ve finally found a contemporary piece for all my sailor dreams!

This was a last-minute outfit I threw together and stashed into my bag without even trying it on. I often fret and overthink way too much, so this was super rare for me.

When picking faux leather items, I prefer black pieces that make a statement on their own yet still allow for layering so it doesn’t appear too full-on.

Winters in Hong Kong are interesting. A while ago it was so cold I had to hug a hot water bottle through work; a week later it’s warm enough to break out the spring pieces already.

I love blazers but let’s face it, Hong Kong has a very limited window where blazers are practical to wear (not that it has curbed my desire to buy them).
