Pastel Colourblock Sweat Shorts: Loungewear Fit for the Streets

I’ve been wanting to shoot here for a very long time as it gives off major Wes Anderson vibes but it was a bit tricky to get to. Eventually I chanced upon these comfy fleece lounge shorts and knew I had to do it before summer landed in Hong Kong!

I don’t actually have much pastels in my wardrobe (light grey doesn’t count) — most of my friends say they’re too cute for me anyway. But candy-coloured pastels are trending again and I’m on the fence about investing in some tailored pieces for spring/summer.

As for the longboard, I’m no cruising guru but it’s something I’ve been itching to learn since I came across international sensation Ko Hyojoo. When it comes to sports I’ve always been a little hyperactive, flitting from sport to sport — it was figure skating and full-on athletics, then team ball games like dodgeball, softball and rugby. I’ve wanted to pick up an individual sport for a while, and between going back to skating and learning to skateboard from scratch, the latter seemed slightly safer and more accessible. Thankfully no scraped knees and bruised shins yet!
