It’s been a while but I’m back with another favourite from SaturdayClub!

Tweed has been a long-time favourite of Chanel – over half its 2022 spring/summer looks carry at last one element of the fabric – which explains its connotation with sophistication and elegance. But contrary to popular belief, tweed isn’t always tricky to style.

Tweed comes in so many colours nowadays and SaturdayClub does super approachable pieces: co-ords, jackets, dresses and everything in between. This black jumpsuit is by far my favourite as the straight cut-legs give it a more masculine appeal. I love a good statement piece and jumpsuits are always edgier alternatives to one-piece dresses. It also comes with subtle details like frayed edges along the top hems and functional pockets which make it a godsend for those excursions out of the office.

One thing I love about tweed is its versatility. Layering underneath or on top effectively dresses down the staple and easily takes you through shoulder seasons. Here, I’ve paired the jumpsuit with a fitted black sweater for a monochrome look and topped it off with statement block heels to bring out the decorative front buttons. You could also wear it over a staple white tee for a casual look. Either way, you’ll be out of the door in five minutes, easy-peasy!

Unfortunately, Hong Kong is too hot and humid to wear tweed in the summer months, let alone a full-length fitted jumpsuit, so you bet I’ll be wearing this piece through spring as much as I can. Fingers crossed that temperatures ease up soon so I can show you how I style the piece on its own again!

Editor’s note: The straps are a tiny bit loose on me, but the chest and waist fit well so I wouldn’t recommend sizing down.

SaturdayClub’s secret garden spring sale is still on!
