Burgundy Chiffon Moto Jacket: Edgy with a Touch of Femininity

Squeezing in another post because Chinese New Year is one sleep away and I’m all red-y!

Is it just me or did winter suddenly turn hot again (briefly)? I’ve had several occasions to head out (mostly for food) and so I made a dash for the pile of red clothes in my wardrobe.

This jacket is one of the pieces I rarely wear but every time I do, I fall in love with it again. Moto jackets are usually edgy with a bit of personality, so I love how the chiffon material lends a bit of drape and femininity to soften the touch. The colour of the piece is a true burgundy when not under the sun.

I knew I was going to be eating a lot that day, so I threw the cropped jacket on top of a simple t-shirt dress to break up the otherwise-straight silhouette and hide my food belly. The chunkiness of the Tess bag complements the boots and they all feature my favourite gold hardware. Bottom line: I feel a little bad-ass but appropriate enough for house visits.
