Grey Nuvolato Marble x Copper Nails: Bringing Interior Design to Fingertips
My nails havenβt been done for months. Lockdown restrictions effectively cancelled my Christmas and Chinese New Year sessions; my last hard gel had already chipped off, and I had grown half the length of my nails. Seeing that restrictions have just eased up a little, I managed to squeeze in a manicure on my birthday so they didnβt have to look so sorry.
I love a veined marble nail (βnuvolatoβ is Italian for βcloudyβ) flecked with gold and fine glitter, to the point that my regular girl tells me itβs boring every time I request one (but hey, itβs something I never get sick of and who knows when my next manicure will be?!) So I let her work some magic on the rest of the nails, and we went with copper mirror powder on top of a matte base for texture and a molten metal look.
One week in, Iβm still digging the warm mineral greys and creamy taupes. It reminds me of days when winter still lingers, and spring hasnβt quite set in yet, a little dark with colours starting to kick in. But I do prefer my nails shiny to matte; they are currently a little too wintry for my taste, and Iβm not a fan of the rubbery touch. At least now I wonβt have FOMO over it.
