Camel Linen Shirt: Laidback Western Vibes
In my mind Muji has always been the queen of natural fabrics: its designs always carry timeless, minimalistic silhouettes in an array of neutral colours. Unfortunately they do come with a premium price tag when compared with fast fashion brands. But for some reason, Muji has started doing small sale drops and sometimes you get really good finds (that won’t make you look too kawai in Japanese terms).
I love linen shirts because they are breathable and age beautifully soft (although they do crease terribly whoops), and the drop shoulders and band collar of this shirt make it easy to sit beneath jackets. I opted for a basic palette of tawny and ecru for a laid-back rodeo vibe. If you’re concerned with linen being see-through, pick a darker shade like mine.
Editor’s note: you may want to check your label carefully; both Muji and Uniqlo have been know to market cotton from Xinjiang, a region synonymous with the exploitation of Uyghurs.
