Nothing says salut printemps better than fresh daisy nails!

I really wanted a celadon nail (ok I may also have bought a floral dress not long ago…) so I’ve been on the hunt for a spring design that could incorporate them together.

Recent nail trends include tone-on-tone swirls and colourful french tips for a more minimal look. If I find good-enough inspiration, I always opt for indie nails (i.e. each finger has a different design) because they add a hint of personal flair and always takes the design up a notch. My trick is to keep to a small palette of 3-5 colours so it doesn’t look overwhelming.

It took me ages to find a reference for the large radiating daisy, and it took even longer for my manicurist to draw it painstakingly (whoops). It’s the focal nail and anchors the soft buttermilk yellow used in the swirl.

The smaller daisies have a base layer with sequins with a green sheen embedded. The photos don’t really do them justice as you have to be really close to see them clearly; from a distance the nude base just glints when the light hits at different angles. Really hard to decide but this is probably my favourite!
