Checking Into the Figo: Boutique Style Co-Living

See this map in the original post

The Figo is a quaint boutique hotel located on Queen’s Road West, halfway between Sheung Wan and Sai Ying Pun. It is one of the few dog-friendly hotels in town, with dedicated packages inclusive of amenities and even a dip in the doggie pool! Long-stay packages are also available from 28 nights onwards.

Approaching from Sheung Wan, the first thing that comes into view is a subtle yet towering building painted with abstract motifs. However, what makes Figo an instant delight is their colour palette — terracotta, sage and olive shades complement modern interiors and are reminiscent of colours from the Arizona desert (or maybe the Uluru outback)?

Communal Areas

The lobby extends into a spacious lounge with great board games and an outdoor deck. Growing up in Hong Kong has made me appreciate co-living spaces more because we know first-hand how expensive real estate is – practical ways that maximise urban space without breaking the bank are always a bonus.

Guest Rooms

Warm accent colours dot the rooms

While rooms were designed to be compact, form balanced function and everything was laid out thoughtfully. I liked the small touches of accent colours and matte black hardware; it proves how much thought has gone into making the details count. If you’re also a fan of Figo’s vibe, various merchandise in their signature colours is available for sale at the reception area.

If you’re a fan of the Figo’s vibe and aesthetics, be sure to also check out the Arca, another property from Yulan Group located in Wong Chuk Hang.
